| Method: |
Mathematics is a progressive
subject area that continuously builds on formulas, principles
and rules. One way to use Beyond Question would be
to create a series of questions that challenges the students
to apply the appropriate rule to get the correct answer.
Two or three times per week, present 5 -10 questions to
verify that they understood the previous material and are
prepared for the next step. Each question is allotted 30
seconds. Award participation points for correct answers.
This method also could be used to begin a new lesson to
refresh the core foundations on which the new material is
based .

| Benefit: |
Beyond
Question allows the teacher to present ongoing reviews
of the mathematical subject area, thereby increasing the
student's competency and retention. The teacher will immediately
know if the students are learning or struggling. Students
will develop confidence in their knowledge and be better
able to apply it to new subject areas.
